If Dragons Can Unlock Their Jaws We’ll Lose the Moon

The moon winks in and out.

Some darkling dragon shape

is circling her, perhaps in play.

Halloween night five poets bobbed

for apples, forgetting the lessons

of childhood… Small palates

can’t grasp pippins.  It takes

Mick Jagger’s mouth and chutzpah

to delve, dunk, grasp.
